Designing the Clone Wars Universe: 10:00 am - 10:50 am; Room 7AB
Meet the Lucasfilm Animation team that designed the unique look of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars series. They will discuss how they worked with Supervising Director, Dave Filoni to come up with the graphic, painterly style of imagery that gives The Clone Wars a look unlike anything else. Drawing upon the last three years of production, they will share how the characters and environments have evolved using much of the rich classic Star Wars imagery as reference upon which to design the show's overall look. Moderated by Lucasfilm's Steve Sansweet.
The Clone Wars 3-D modeling: 10:50am - 11:35 am; Room 7AB
What gives Star Wars: The Clone Wars series a cinematic sensibility that matches that of a live-action movie? The process is called "3D Story," and it's been pioneered by Lucasfilm Animation. Learn how this innovative team of panelists worked together to redefine traditional storyboarding so that the majority of storytelling is now done with computers, allowing unprecedented artistic flexibility. This panel will give you first hand insights into the challenges the crew faced as they embarked upon defining this new process both technically and creatively while training traditional and CG artists to combine skill sets and create an extraordinary new process for television animation. Moderated by Catherine Winder, Producer, Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Prizes will be awarded to those who search their feelings and choose wisely!"
That wraps up Friday -- but don't go to bed just yet. Remember, Clone Wars merchandise hits store shelves at midnight that night, and Star Wars collectors will continue their frenzied tradition of raiding the nearest Toys 'R' Us for the greatest new toys and collectibles. Luckily, the San Diego TRU is nearby and ready for the masses.
