Kotobukiya announces a massive San Diego Comic-Con event with prizes totaling over $25,000.00 in value! Beginning on Thursday July 23rd at 11am, Koto will hold a special event every hour at their booth, such as behind-the-scenes presentations, new license announcements, live podcasts, and more. Accompanying each hourly event will be a chance for fans to compete in trivia challenges and walk away with great Kotobukiya collectible merchandise as prizes, with individual values up to $200.00. Each day's prizes will include at least one sold-out Iron Man Movie Fine Art Statue, Bishoujo Statues, Star Wars: The Clone Wars goods, and many others (check out starwars.com's master Comic-Con schedule here).

Aside from the hourly events, there will be one daily Grand Prize awarded. Thursday through Sunday, winners of the daily drawings will receive a one-of-a kind prototype used in the creation of a Kotobukiya toy, prizes worth thousands of dollars! Of special interest to Star Wars fans will be Saturday's grand prize -- a Clone Wars Captain Rex ARTFX+ statue prototype!! The drawing will be made by members of the 501st Legion, and the winner will be announced by Tom "Yoda" Kane!

Additionally, many new goods will make their debut at the show and be available for fans to purchase for the first time, including The Clone Wars Clone Troopers ARTFX+ statues!

Daily Chop Saber Duels!!

Fans will compete with members of the 501st Legion in usage of Koto's new lightsaber chopsticks (Chop Sabers!) in daily competitions! Haven't heard of Chop Sabers? Here's a brief description, with price and actual release date to come:

Star Wars lightsabers merge with Japanese culture and "Chop Sabers" emerge! Suitable for eating sushi or defending the galaxy, the Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader lightsabers measure 9" long, with the blades cast in translucent material. The smaller "children's size" Yoda saber measures approximately 7" long. As a special bonus each set includes translucent Star Wars logo chopstick rests. An awesome and fun collectible!
